| I have had the good fortune to go to Africa twice, once to Tanzania and once to South Africa. My trip to Tanzania provided the best photo reference. Myself and fellow artists Dan Smith and Brian Jarvi went to the Nogoronogoro Crater and the Serengeti. Dan and I shared a vehicle and had a good time getting some really great shots. This lioness was with several other lions. I was attracted to her 'veteran' looks, she had definitley seen her share of surviving on the plains of the Serengeti, and I wanted to capture her character. |
