| "This was originally a larger painting featuring the Bitteroot Valley. As happens (more often than I would like to admit), I decided to crop the painting and feature the bull elk. I also repainted the background and made it more dramatic. Most elk I paint are bugling, but I like the attitude of this "Tough Guy". |
