| Some paintings have special meaning. This painting won me "Artist of the Year" for Ducks Unlimited 1999. It was the first time I had entered the competition. Hooded Mergansers are some of the most beautiful ducks in the world. This painting features two drakes. The spot is up at our place by Mora, Mn. The Ann River flows through the property, and is pretty all year long. But I love snow and open water, for obvious reasons. Also these are fish eating ducks (note the bobber in lower left). This is among the best paintings I have done. |
