| This painting was created with very little reference material. I had been studying the work of George Inness, the great American landscape painter. This was my effort to do something tonal, it remains one of my favorites. I have been told that the painting looks old, but in my attempt to continue my improvement, I need to challenge myself with paintings like this. |
