| "This a painting of a scene on our property in Mora, MN. Each fall the trees turn color, the maples are outrageous, but the oaks have a more subtle rust color I find beaurtiful. They vary from greens to browns as they turn. I used the old "steel yard" composition to balance the painting with a "lead-in" path to bring the viewer into the painting. I usually paint my landscapes much looser than the wildlife pieces and enjoy the process. |
