| "On a trip to South Africa in 1999, Deb and I took a trip to a park near Johannasburg, South Africa. Pilanesburg National Park is a small but beautiful park. We drove there in a rented car and saw a number of white rhinos, giraffes, and different plains game. Although I have not done many African paintings, this was a small piece I did from that trip. I had just started painting in oils (acrylics before) and was interested in looser brushwork. |
