| "I've painted a lot of whitetails, certainly among my favorite subjects. I made the decision to do something very different. This position of a buck on the scent of a doe, is one I haven't seen painted. Challenging to pull off the 3-D effect of the animal, but I hope I got it right. Most deer paintings depict the regal buck standing and I have done plenty of those. Its always good to push the boundaries of painting. |
