"Backwater Refuge"

| There is a small pond in Hopkins, MN where I had one of the best photo shoots of my young wildlife career. I happened to see a bunch of woodies being fed by people on their lunch breaks. I waited for a nice day, and went loaded with film and corn. I still use reference from that shoot today, if I am putting a wooduck painting together. The hard part for me was coming up with a good background and I decided to go with these dark cedars. |
