This painting was one of four songbird paintings I did as a series. I remember shooting the snow-laden pine right out my window. I thought that it would be a big hit based on the response of the Chickadees at Dawn and Cardinals at Dawn. The first lady that looked at the painting at a show said: They're really pretty, but they're such bullies at the birdfeeder!"
